Commercial Roof Repair – Keeping Businesses Running

When working with residential and commercial roofs, it’s essential to know the ins and outs of both types of construction. While it may seem like they require similar materials and designs, they differ in many specific areas. For example, commercial roofs may use rubber materials instead of residential roofing materials like asphalt or slate shingles. As a Boston roofing company, it’s important to be aware of the differences between commercial roofing and residential roofing in a city filled with endless types of construction from different eras.

Commercial vs. Residential Roofs

It may seem simple to look at a roof and think its construction is the same for commercial and residential buildings. In reality, they contain stark differences that a professional roofer needs to keep in mind throughout the process. For one thing, their designs are completely different. A commercial building is usually completely flat or low-sloped. On top of that, a commercial building’s materials are usually restricted to metal or membrane materials.

Experience Matters

It’s important to be experienced in all facets of roofing. To complete residential and commercial jobs, you need to be equipped with all the knowledge and tools available. For example, a professional should detect roof damage signs by simply observing the building. It can also impact the longevity and durability of the roof, which is especially important for commercial buildings.

Working with Different Budgets

It’s important to come to an ideal budget that fits everybody’s needs. For small business owners, another hour spent away from their duties can negatively affect their income – so a functional roof is necessary. At the same time, quality roofing means that the job may be expensive. Quality roofing companies will work with small businesses to identify a budget that allows the business to get up and running quickly without causing financial setbacks.

Insurance and Licenses

A professional roofing company should always be licensed and insured, and this means they’re up to coding laws and can verify themselves as a reputable service provider. Roofing companies should have liability insurance to cover workers and clients involved with the project.

Reputation

Before clients choose their roofing service based in Boston, they’ll rely on reviews and past experiences. For a professional roofing company, references are important for visibility and reputation. If other customers have had a positive experience with your roofing service, they’ll spread the word, and vice versa; they may be vocal about a negative experience.

I needed a copper roof rip/replace in the South End of Boston. After reaching out to a few small one man shows that couldn’t pull a permit I found RB Farina. Not only did they beat the other 2 prices they came up with an all-encompassing quote and explanation of their process. Alex was the guy in charge and he was responsive, professional and likable. I am a construction business owner and I know a pro when I deal with one!! These guys are the real deal

We were very satisfied with the work done by Farina. Our roof is complicated as we have an 18th century Georgian saltbox with two major additions over the last centurey creating lots of angles. The work was done with care, the materials first-rate and the team was professional, curteous and competent. I would highly recommend.

Very happy with the roof replacement RB Farina performed on my house in Winchester. The Sales Manager Paulo answered all my questions, did not push me to sign and provided a very competitive quote. Alex who supervised the job was very approachable, easy to talk to and ensured the job was finished to a very high standard. Very happy customer and would recommend RB Farina!

What a fantastic professional roof and gutter job. They started Friday morning bright and early and my new roof was done by the end of the day Friday. This is a traditional Northeast two family home with a gable roof and two shed dormers. There were skylights as well. The attention to detail was exceptional including in process communication detailing rotten roof boards needing replacement (pictures provided). The gutters were done Saturday morning and finished by noon. The property was cleaned of debris, esp nails and you couldn’t tell they had been there! I would enthusiastically recommend RB Farina to anyone considering a new roof and or gutters!!
